A taste of California in Hossegor
Share
For around ten days, from September 20 to 28, 2025, Hossegor hosted the Quiksilver Festival, with a surf competition, international stars, evening events and activities. Through its activation in the village, Carver Europe brought riding and sharing to the event alongside Quiksilver and Swatch.
A riding event open to everyone
Inspired by the pros in the water, riders and visitors met throughout the week at Plage du Boiteux in Hossegor for sessions and conversations. The village featured a 21-meter wave ramp from Latvia by We Skates Waves. Located at the center of the village, it gave surfskate riders curves and copings to test, practice and ride.
The surf spirit beyond the waves
The festival celebrates riding in all its forms. With Carver, visitors extended the feeling of surfing onto the asphalt through shared lines, ramp demos and advice from our team.
Seeing so much passion and exchange between surfers and riders from around the world was striking. Hossegor had a Californian atmosphere.Carver Europe team
The ramp in practice
The ramp was suitable for all levels and featured a continuous curve with no flat section, allowing riders to maintain speed from one end to the other while working on backside and frontside surf maneuvers. Its coping section allowed experienced riders to perform more radical maneuvers.
Highlights
Val Laforge (Swatch team, GRLSWRL collective) rode at Plage du Boiteux in collaboration with Carver and shared her experience with surfskate riders. She presented her new GRLSWRL “sunflower” pro model with a CX setup. Participants could test its wide deck for stability, CX truck system for speed generation and precision in the bowl.
In a friendly atmosphere, everyone could talk with her, ask questions, take photos and join the sessions, from beginners to experienced riders.

Gustavo Ribeiro, a leading skateboarder, and other figures from the scene came to test the ramp and connect with the community.
Partner associations CSR, Crewsing Paris and Dune Surfskate brought the local scene together and connected riders with enthusiasts through their activities and presence on the ramp.
See you next year?
Thank you to everyone who came to ride, connect and support the event. We also thank the organizers and partners who made this activation possible: Quiksilver, Swatch and We Skates Waves. Surfskate is above all a practice, a community and sharing.
