C7 trucks: the system closest to surfing
The C7 is identified by its front truck: an articulated arm mounted on an axle and returned to center by a spring. This mechanism gives the surfskate its turning range and pumping ability, whereas a standard skate truck is limited to the compression of its bushings.
Mounting a C7 on an existing deck completely changes its handling. It is the most significant change you can make without changing boards.
What a set includes
The C7 front truck works with a C2 rear truck. Kit versions include both, along with the hardware; individual items are intended to complete or replace an existing setup. Check the details on each product page before ordering.
Maintenance
The C7 has more moving parts than the other systems: a spring, ball stop and pivot pin. All are available separately in spare parts. Regularly checking the kingpin tightness is enough to maintain a clear return to center.
To compare the three systems before deciding, see the truck guide. You can also choose a complete board with a C7 surfskate.
